Franklinton was defeated by Lakeshore, 55-7, in the District 9-4A opener for both teams on Thursday at Lakeshore.
The Demons’ touchdown came on a run by Mike Martin.
Franklinton forced a turnover when they recovered a fumble. Jacob Turnage forced the fumble and Malachi Martin recovered it.
Franklinton fell to 4-4 this season. The Demons will continue league play Friday with a home game against Salmen.
Lakeshore, who entered the week No. 2 in the www.louisianasportsline.com Class 4A power rankings and in the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 4A poll, improved to 8-0.
