Pine Raiders capture District 9-2A victory over St. Helena

Pine was victorious over St. Helena College and Career Academy, 27-19, on Homecoming Night in a District 9-2A contest at home Friday.
“It was big,” Pine coach Bradley Seal said. “We jumped out early to a 14-0 lead. There were times where St. Helena came back, but our guys came back and played really good in crucial situations.”
Pine led 21-19 at halftime and St. Helena had the ball to start the second half. St. Helena drove the ball to Pine’s 2, but missed a field goal.
Adrianuen Johnson ran for 124 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.
Jaheim Williams posted 74 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown.
Logan Temples threw for 160 yards and he ran for two touchdowns.
Jordan Anderson caught three passes for 142 yards. Defensively, Anderson intercepted a pass.
Drake Westmoreland made nine tackles to lead the defense.
Tyrek Crosby recorded a sack.
It was Pine’s third-straight victory. The Raiders improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in district play.
