Seal wins sheriff’s race; Thomas re-elected as president; White, Mizell re-elected

Unofficial results from the Louisiana Secretary State for Washington Parish, with 41 of 41 precincts reporting:

Sheriff — Randy “Country” Seal (7,169 votes), Olander “Smitty” Smith (6,043 votes), Demille Topps (294 votes).

Parish president — Richard Ned Thomas (6,912 votes), Ryan Seal (6,446 votes).

State Senator, District 12 — Beth Mizell (9,294 votes), Darrell Fairburn (3,934 votes). This district also includes portions of St. Tammany and Tangipahoa parishes. With 98 percent of the vote reported district-wide, as of 10 p.m., Mizell had 67 percent of the vote.

State Representative, District 75 — Malinda Brumfield White (7,255 votes), Phillipp Bedwell (3,940 votes). This district also includes a portion of St. Tammany Parish. With 100 percent of the vote reported district-wide, as of 10 p.m., White had 64 percent of the vote.

State Representative, District 74 — Larry Frieman (1,620 votes), Cindy Renee Winch (427 votes). This district also includes portions of St. Tammany and Tangipahoa parishes. With 90 percent of the vote reported district-wide, as of 10 p.m., Frieman had 81 percent of the vote.

Parish Council, District 1 — Joe Culpepper (897 votes), Melvin Keith (642 votes), Perry Talley (436 votes).

Parish Council, District 2 — Shawn Rice (1,088 votes), Kendall L. Amacker (853 votes).

Parish Council, District 3 — Kim Wagner (842 votes), Christopher Workman (641 votes).

Parish Council, District 4 — Clark Harry (929 votes), Gloria W. Kates (545 votes).

Parish Council, District 6 — Reginald McMasters (1,071 votes), Shane Smith (806 votes).

Parish Council, District 7 — Carley King (1,164 votes), David Anthony (930 votes).

Coroner — Rogelio “Roger” Casama (8,385 votes), John “Trey” Tucker (4,224 votes).

Parish Home Rule Charter Amendment — No (6,690 votes), Yes (4,924 votes).

Bogalusa 2.73 Mills Continuation — Yes (1,502 votes), No (930 votes).

Bogalusa 7.84 Mills Continuation — Yes (1,556 votes), No (893 votes).

Bogalusa 4.02 Mills Continuation — Yes (1,544 votes), No (885 votes).
