Pine was victorious over Northlake Christian School, 50-13, in Friday’s non-district road game.
“I was happy with the way we came out,” Pine coach Bradley Seal said. “We knew it was important to stop the run and force them to throw the ball, which they’re not comfortable doing.”
Logan Temples threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns on 11-of-21 passing.
Jordan Anderson caught eight passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
Drake Westmoreland made two catches for 46 yards and a score.
Adrianuen Johnson also had a good day with 131 yards rushing on 13 carries and a touchdown.
Jaheim Williams led the defense with 15 tackles and an interception.
Larry Williams blocked a punt. Cameron Brown picked up the blocked punt and returned it for a touchdown.
It was the second-straight week the Raiders have blocked a punt.
The win was Pine’s second-straight victory. They are 3-2.
The Raiders are back in action Friday and step back into District 9-2A play against St. Helena College and Career Academy. St. Helena is 2-3. They lost to Livonia, 15-13 last week.
Every one of Pine’s games are district contests for the rest of the regular season.
