Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Pine High School’s Jaheim Williams

Pine’s Jaheim Williams is a two-sport athlete. The senior plays football and runs track.
In football, Williams plays mainly fullback, but Pine coach Bradley Seal said he can play pretty much anywhere.
“Our coaches, we view Jaheim as the total football player,” Seal said. “He can play pretty much any position on the field. He has played every offensive skill (position) — quarterback, running back, wing and receiver. Defense — corner, outside/inside linebacker, safety — he knows what to do at every position and he can play any position.”
In football last year, Williams was a second-team all-district defensive back and an all-district honorable mention running back.
In track, Williams runs the 400 meters and is on the 4×200 relay team.
Williams has reached the regionals in both.

What do you enjoy most about playing your sports?
Being around a good team and all of us are brothers. We support each other and just love the game.

What do you like best about being a student-athlete?
Trying to keep my grades and trying to go camps and stuff and trying to make it.

Who has been the most influential person in your school sports career? Why?
Coach Bradley (Seal) because he’s leading us on how to become better men and supporting us and telling us not to quit and just stay on your path to greatness.

Who is your favorite athlete? Why?
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara. He runs the ball hard. He’s a good player and I just like how he runs the ball.

Favorite team?
Seattle Seahawks.

Best thing about living in Washington Parish?
It’s a small place and we’ve got a couple of rivalry teams in the district. It’s fun when you’re playing against a district team and a rivalry team.
