Ben’s Ford defeated by Prentiss Christian School

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Eagles suffered a 40-18 loss to Prentiss Christian School in Friday’s road game.
Ben’s Ford took a 12-8 lead with 6:29 left in the first quarter, but Prentiss scored 26 points in a row to go up 34-12 with 1:16 to go in the first half.
Each team scored another touchdown.
The game was called because of weather with 6:50 left in the third quarter and Ben’s Ford having the ball on Prentiss Christian School’s 17.
Daniel Martin threw for 88 yards on 5-of-9 passing.
Cameron Bullen completed his only pass attempt for 18 yards and a touchdown to Martin.
Martin led the team in rushing with 102 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
Payton Miller ran four times for 18 yards.
Austin Stogner had three carries for 9 yards.
Trey Hartzog caught two passes for 57 yards.
John Robert Holston had two receptions for 20 yards.
Stogner made a catch for 11 yards.
Miller led the defense with seven tackles.
Martin posted 5.5 stops, with one for a loss.
Stogner made three tackles.
Bullen had 2.5 stops.
Gage Adams made two tackles.
John Glover and Holston had 1.5 tackles each and both made 0.5 stops for a loss.
Hartzog and Alex Stogner made 0.5 tackles each.
Ben’s Ford is 1-5 this season.
The Eagles have two games left, both are in District 2A2 play and each is at home. The first of the two takes place Friday against Columbus Christian Academy. Columbus Christian Academy is 5-2 and enters after a 23-20 victory over Delta.
