Raiders capture District 9-2A opener

Pine ran for 317 yards in a 30-7 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas to begin District 9-2A play on the road Friday night.
“I thought our defense really played well,” Pine coach Bradley Seal said. “Penalties hurt us in the first half offensively, but we were able to get things going in the second half.”
The game was tied 7-7 at halftime.
Adrianuen Johnson led the Raiders’ rushing with 129 yards on 17 carries.
Jordan Anderson ran for 95 yards on three carries and a touchdown.
Jaheim Williams tallied 74 yards on 15 attempts.
Logan Temples ran for a pair of touchdowns.
Jon’Kez Dillon blocked a punt.
Demontre Baham intercepted two passes.
The Raiders are back in action on Friday with a non-district road game against Northlake Christian School.
The Wolverines are 2-2 this season and are coming off of a 28-6 victory over Independence last week.
