Bogalusa High School’s LaDarious Spikes
LaDarious Spikes is a senior at Bogalusa High School. Spikes is a three-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball and track and field.
In football, Spikes is a running back and cornerback. For basketball, Spikes plays both guard positions and he runs the 4×100 and 4×200 relays, 100 and 200 meters.
Spikes played in Alabama last year and was an all-district player for football, MVP for basketball on defense and reached the finals in the 100 in track-and-field before finishing as runner-up.
“We’re really fortunate to have LaDarious,” Bogalusa coach Adam Brumfield said. “He had a real successful season in Alabama last year and I watched his Hudl before he transferred to BHS. He’s a very talented kid and he’s a two-way starter for us. We had a few kids moved during the summer and we lost kids that we had planned on starting, but he’s one that we actually gained. He’s a great kid. You can tell he’s been raised right and I look forward to him having a really good season this year. I think he’s going to have breakout game coming soon.”
