Ben’s Ford defeated by Christian Collegiate Academy

Ben’s Ford suffered a 38-14 loss to Christian Collegiate Academy in a road game that took place on Friday.
“They whooped up on us. We’ve got them again week from Friday. They’re a team we should be able to compete with, but they got the best of us on Friday,” Ben’s Ford coach Tommy Pittman said.
Ben’s Ford, which was outgained 477-111, trailed 26-0 in the third quarter before getting on the board at the 1:25 mark on a 14-yard touchdown run by Daniel Martin. Martin also ran in for the two-point conversion to make it 26-8.
Christian Collegiate Academy added a touchdown in the third quarter with six seconds left to make it 32-6 with 1:07 left.
The Eagles countered 1:01 later on Austin Stogner’s 4-yard run. The conversion was no good, keeping it 32-14 through three quarters.
Christian Collegiate Academy added another touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Stogner led Ben’s Ford in rushing with 60 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Stogner also made 3.5 tackles, a half a sack and a half a tackle for a loss.
Martin tallied 45 yards and a touchdown on 19 rushing attempts. Martin also led the team in tackles with 8.5.
Payton Miller ran for 14 yards on three carries. Miller posted 6.5 tackles defensively.
Alex Stogner had five tackles to go with 0.5 sacks and 1.5 tackles for a loss.
Cameron Bullen and A.J. Exkano had three stops each. Exkano also had a tackle for a loss.
Trey Hartzog had two tackles. Joseph Williams and Gage Adams posted a tackle each. James Blackwell made 0.5 tackles for the Eagles.
Ben’s Ford, which fell to 1-3 for the season, has a bye this week, but will return to action on Friday, Sept. 27, in a home game against Christian Collegiate Academy.
