Bowling Green School’s Madelyn Burch
Bowling Green School’s Madelyn Burch is a senior for the Lady Buccaneers. Burch plays softball and is a cheerleader.
Burch pitches in softball. Burch has been a first-team all-district player the last two years and she was a second-team player in 2016. Last season, she was the district defensive Most Valuable Player and all-MAIS (all-state).
“Obviously, she’s a senior. She’s a leader on the team. She’s a college pitcher. She’s committed to Coastal Alabama, so when she’s in the circle for us, we have a chance to win every game. Whether she’s on or not, we’ve got a shot to win. She’s going to keep us in every game. She can give up a lot of hits and still be fine because the amount of people she strikes out. The bigger the game, the better the opponent the better she pitches in my opinion. She tends to rise to the occasion,” Bowling Green coach David Hood Burris said.
