Lady Bucs win 2 games in tourney

Bowling Green School’s Lady Buccaneers won both of their games in the Parklane Academy Tournament on Saturday.
The Lady Buccaneers captured their first game — a 3-0 victory over Clinton Christian Academy.
Landry Dupont led off the game with a home run on the first pitch. Dupont went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Kylee Burris and Cassidy Spears both recorded a hit and an RBI.
Madelyn Burch tallied a hit in the victory.
Burch pitched a complete game shutout over five innings. She allowed just two hits with four strikeouts and a walk.
The next game was a 15-1 win over St. Aloysius.
Games were either 75 minutes or five innings.
The Lady Bucs will be back in action on Monday, as they play on the road against Amite School Center.
That is the first of two District 4AAA contests in the upcoming week.
Bowling Green competes against Lamar Christian School the next day at home.
Junior varsity begins at 5 p.m. and varsity starts at 6:15 p.m. on both days.
