Franklinton’s football team participated in community service on Aug. 1. The group went to several different places to help out. Some of the things they did included odd jobs at First Baptist Church in Franklinton and helping to distribute food at the Washington Parish Food Bank. “I really think it’s important for our kids to give back to the community,” Franklinton coach Jonathan Barber said. “I think it’s important for the community to see our kids working hard and giving back. I think it creates a bond between our kids and the community. We also had the luxury of Chief of Police in Franklinton Justin Brown talking to our team about the importance of that.”
