A Bogalusa man was arrested in Biloxi, Miss., over the weekend, after being named as a suspect in an auto burglary in that area.

Major Christopher DeBack of the Biloxi Police Department said that Russell Lane Herrin, 37, was taken into custody on Saturday. He was wanted on a warrant for Burglary of a Vehicle.

DeBack said that Herrin’s arrest stemmed from an investigation into a burglary of a vehicle that occurred on May 5, in the 100 block of Beach Boulevard in Biloxi.

“Evidence obtained during the investigation of the incident assisted the Biloxi Police in identifying Herrin as the suspect,” DeBack said.

Justice Court Judge Bruce Strong issued a warrant with a $100,000 bond, and Herrin was transported to the Harrison County Jail.
