Washington Parish Golf League

The Washington Parish Golf League takes place this summer at the Franklinton Country Club.

The league is under way, but is still open to any Washington Parish resident who is between 10 and 18 years of age.

The league has one more tournament and it takes place July 22.

Awards will be given to the top three from each age following the tournament.

There will be an overall award, following the final tournament. Golfers will receive points based on where they finish in each tournament and that goes toward the overall award. The overall award is not based on age.

The league has three age groups, 10-12, 13-14 and 15-18, and they will play a different number of holes.

The 10-12s play five holes while 13-14s compete on nine holes and 15-18s are going all 18.

The cost is $10 to $20 per tournament per child depending on their age and that includes their range balls.

For more information about the league, call League Director coach Aaron Lott, who is Bowling Green School’s golf coach, at 601-329-9002.
