Trio of Lady Raiders basketball players make 2nd-team all-district

Three Pine Lady Raiders are second-team all-district players in 9-2A.
Kaylyn Ginn, Elizabeth Barber and Raina Crosby are second-team players this season.
Ginn averaged eight points and three steals in league play.
Barber posted nine points, three rebounds and two steals per contest.
Crosby tallied six points and 10 boards per game.
Three more Pine players are all-district honorable-mention players.
Kiyasha Clark, McKayla Jordan and Kalli Tulliet are all-district honorable mention players.
This season, Pine made the playoffs as the No. 24 seed, but lost to ninth seeded and regional round team Ferriday, 68-23, in the bi-district round.
This year’s league had a co-Most Valuable Players in Northlake Christian School’s Kyren Whittington and Amite’s Jalencia Pierre.
Amite made the quarterfinals as the seventh-seeded team before losing to second-seeded and state runner up North Caddo, 63-53.
Northlake Christian School was the second-seeded team in Division III before being defeated by top-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas in the state title game.
The rest of the top-team players are Amite’s Makayla Batiste and Independence’s Ialiyah Preston.
Besides Ginn, Barber and Crosby, the rest of the second team players are Northlake Christian School’s Kaitlyn Walker and Independence’s Taylor Cardaronella.
Besides Clark, Jordn and Tulliet, the rest of the all-district honorable-mention players are Northlake Christian School’s KeraGrace watts and Amite’s Brokela Coleman, Jazz Hibbler, Synterrica Daughty and Mickalla Brown.
Independence was the 19th-seed and made it to regionals before losing to third-seeded and quarterfinalist Rapides, 77-57.
