Trio of Lady Demons are 1st-team all-district

Three Franklinton Lady Demons were named first-team all-district 8-4A players this season.
Jalyn Bickham, Kaniya Dillon and Danaria Magee all made the league’s top team.
Magee, who is a senior, was a first-team all-district player for all four of her high school seasons. It was Dillon’s second year of making the first team and it was the first time for Bickham.
Two more Lady Demons were named all-district honorable-mention players — Addison Carter and Miriam Tate.
This season, the Lady Demons were the No. 20 team in the playoffs and lost to 13th-seeded and regionalist Opelousas, 34-28.
Also in the district, Salmen reached the regional round of the playoffs as the ninth-seeded team before losing to eighth-seeded and quarterfinalist South Lafourche, 64-58.
St. Scholastica Academy was the No. 16 team in Division II and lost to No. 17 Archbishop Hannan, 47-41.
