Three Bowling Green School Buccaneers baseball players have one high school game left as they are headed to the AAA-AAAA All-Star Game.
Cameron Bell, Casey Burge and Timmy Ruffino made the all-star team.
“I’m proud of them,” Bowling Green coach Justin Garcia said. “I’m happy for them. I’m happy for our program. This is voted on by the coaches of 3A and 4A. We had two guys last year (Harrison Jones and Andy Bienvenu), and to get three guys in this year, speaks about where our program is right now. Nobody deserves it more than these three guys, so I’m excited to go watch them play.”
This season, Bowling Green reached the second round of the Class AAA playoffs, but came up short in a best-of-three series to Central Private School.
The game will take place on Tuesday at Smith-Wills Stadium, which is located in Jackson, Miss.
The contest is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. It is the second game that day. The first one is the A-AA All-Star Game and that will get underway at 10 a.m.
