Franklinton High School’s track/field teams hosted their third annual color run at the school on Saturday.
The participants ran or walked the two-mile race, where they were doused with color at various stations. The race ended with one final color celebration at the finish line.
The event helps benefit Franklinton High School’s track/field teams.
This year’s race had 32 participants.
“It is our biggest fundraiser for the track and field teams,” Franklinton track/field coach Andy Perez said. “It helps offset the cost of meet fees, travel and equipment. It is a fun event that also involves a little exercise.
“This year we had elementary kids, junior high kids, and high school kids and parents. So it is good for all ages and we usually receive positive feedback on how much fun it is.”
