Varnado’s Wildcats suffered an 8-2 loss to Montgomery in the bi-district round of the Class 1A playoffs on the road April 24.
Varnado was the 21st-seeded team.
No. 12 Montgomery was topped by fifth-seeded White Castle, 6-4 in the regional round.
