Eagles’ Moore going to South State in 3 events

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Alston Moore qualified for South State in three events duringlast Wednesday’s District 4AA Meet that took place at Silliman Institute.
Moore was second in the discus and third and fourth for the 100 meters and 200, respectively.
Moore and teammate Austin Stogner were second and fourth in the discus with throws of 101 feet, 11.25 inches and 87-8.5. Moore ran the 100 in 12.41 seconds and the 200 in 26.03. Centreville Academy teammates Wyatt Brabham, Devon Parrish and Tucker Lobrano won the discus, 100 and 200 with results of 138-5, 11.73 and 23.94, respectively. Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Caleb Matthews was fifth for the 100 in 13.41.
Wednesday’s meet was a qualifying meet. The top four from each event made it to the South State Meet that takes place at Silliman Institute with field events on Wednesday and track events next Saturday.
Stogner was third in the shot put with a distance of 33-3. Centreville Academy’s Logan Longmire won at 40-0.5.
Ben’s Ford took third in the 4×100 relay in 52.16. The team had John Robert Holston, Moore, Matthews and Stogner. Centreville won in 45.77.
Holston was fourth in the triple jump at 32-1. Centreville Academy’s Dalton Peterson won at 37-5.75.
Centreville Academy won the team portion of the meet with 141 points, as four teams scored at least one point.
Amite School Center’s 51 was second, followed by Lamar Christian School’s 35 and Ben’s Ford Christian School’s 20.
