Bowling Green’s Dupont captures the high jump

Bowling Green’s Landry Dupont was victorious in the high jump at the District 4AAA Meet held Monday at Silliman Institute.
Dupont high jumped 4 feet, 8 inches.
She was also third in the long jump at 14-6. Columbia Academy’s Lizzie Sullivan won the long jump with a distance of 15-8.5.
Monday’s meet was a qualifying event. The top four finishers from each event advance to the South State Meet. The South State Meet runs over two days at Silliman. Field events are Wednesday and running events take place next Saturday.
One more individual and a relay team advanced to the South State Meet for Bowling Green.
Abby Hodges was third in the 3,200 meters and fourth in the 1,600 with times of 13 minutes, 51 seconds and 6:49, respectively. Columbia Academy’s Natalie Ragan won the 1,600 in 5:51 and Laurel Christian School’s Regan Jones topped the 3,200 with a time of 13:27.
Bowling Green’s 4×100 relay team was third after clocking a 57.34. The group included Dupont, Hodges, Grace Mizell and KaKa Seal. Wayne Academy won the event with a time of 53.75.
