Mt. Hermon’s Lady Jackets were defeated by 2018 state semifinalist and second-seeded Castor, 9-1, in the regional round of the Class B state playoffs on the road Monday.
Kalei Hughes tallied a hit and a run batted in.
Khristian Schexnider, Alexa Bulloch and Sydnei Tullos all had a hit for the 18th-seeded Lady Jackets.
“I am really proud of the girls and the way that we battled during the game,” Mt. Hermon coach Mary McGinnis said. “We will miss Raygen Hart and Kalei Hughes next year. They had a great season and will be missed next year. With just losing two players and the core of our team returning, we are expecting even greater things next year.”
