Bogalusa High School’s O’Layazha Morris
Bogalusa High School’s O’Layazha Morris is a two-sport athlete.
The senior plays volleyball and competes on the track and field team. In track, Morris runs on the 4×100 and 4×200 relay teams and is in the high jump and 200-meter dash. Morris has reached the regionals the last three years.
Bogalusa coach Eddie Walker said that Morris is a good academic student.
“She’s one of the fastest girls on the team, good attitude, good work habits and excellent as far as being the team leader, so I’m just happy and pleased to have her,” Walker said. “I just hope and pray that her future endeavors will expand further than what they are here. I’m sure they will because of the contacts that she will meet. I just look forward to her becoming a great product from Bogalusa High School and she’s going to be a great influence to all of the relays that we have, the 200-meter dash and the high jump.”
