Varnado’s Quincy James was victorious in a pair of events and three more Wildcats qualified for regionals in the District 8-1A Meet held Tuesday at West St. John.
James won the high jump and the long jump.
James tied West St. John’s Trenton Grows with a height of 5-foot-10. The tiebreaker is fewest misses, so James won and Grows was second. Also in the high jump, Varnado’s Quovadia Bickham was seventh at 5-2.
James also won the long jump with a distance of 20-3. Teammate Benny Jarvis was ninth at 16-11.
