Pine hangs to defeat Northlake Christian School

Pine’s Raiders hung on to defeat Northlake Christian School, 15-13, in a District 9-2A home game Tuesday.
The Raiders jumped out to a 9-0 lead through three innings, but Northlake Christian School put up six in the fifth. Pine responded with five in its half of the fifth to go up 14-6. Northlake Christian then posted two in the sixth before Pine came back with one. It was 15-8 through six innings. Northlake Christian scored five runs in the seventh, but Pine held on for the win.
Kaden Fersch went 3-for-3 with two runs batted in and a trio of runs scored.
Chase Cooper recorded two hits, including a double, two runs scored and an RBI.
Will Adams posted two hits, an RBI and two runs scored.
Luke Fonda singled twice and drove in a run.
Ian Turner recorded a hit, three RBIs and a run scored.
Coby Sheridan singed, drove home a run and scored two runs.
Kendall Sheridan scored three runs while Zack LeMaire scored a run and drove one home, Logan Temples recorded and RBI and Blaine Polk scored a run.
Winning pitcher Luke Fonda threw four shutout innings of one-hit ball with four strikeouts and no walks.
