Franklinton’s girls’ tennis team lost to Lakeshore and tied Christ Episcopal School while the boys were defeated by both teams in matches held Thursday, March 28 and last Tuesday.
The girls match against Lakeshore was 2-1.
Franklinton’s Yvone Tran won her match over Emily Roche, 6-1, 7-5.
The Lady Demons were defeated in their doubles matches.
Morgan Mills/Taylor Cosse were topped by Kate Keyser, 6-4, 3-6, 10-3.
Jolie Brooks/Kassady Sanders were defeated by Savannah Hawkins/Madison Wilcox, 6-3, 6-4.
The Lady Demons tied Christ Episcopal School on the road last Tuesday.
Tran defeated Elizabeth Gray, 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles, Mills/Cosse won their match over Carolyn Rushing/Maggie Muntan, 6-7, 6-3, 13-11.
Abby Thomas/Mackenzie Angelo were defeated by Georgie Rigney/Jordan Magness, 7-6 (7-5 in the set tiebreaker), 2-6, 10-8.
Sarah Hoggatt /Lauren Haik were defeated by Martha Kigney/Elizabeth Burris, 6-4, 6-2.
Franklinton’s boys lost to Lakeshore 3-0.
Colby Creel was defeated by William Stokes 6-1, 6-0.
Keaton Catrett was topped by Evan Schwartz, 6-4, 6-3.
In doubles, Chase Sheridan/Colton Sanders were defeated by Evan Weber/Jacob Meyers, 6-2, 6-1.
