Bogalusa, Franklinton competed at Oak Harbor

Bogalusa and Franklinton competed at Oak Harbor Golf Club in the Northlake Golf League Monday, April 1.
Two players tied for top individual honors in Salmen’s Nick Tran and Lakeshore’s Cody Moore, in a field of 19.
Jacob McCullum was third with a 92 and Salmen’s Sidney Anderson and Lakeshore’s Jeremy Moore tied for fourth with a 95 each.
Among local competitors, Sylas McGowan topped Bogalusa with a 123. Keltron Harry was next with a 124, followed by Jahee Roberts’ 128 and Desmond Johnson’s 162.
Sunny Nezzolillo led Franklinton with a 128.
Seth McCain’s 133 was next, followed by Johnathan Slaughter’s 156.
Lakeshore won the team competition with a 376. Three teams qualified for team honors. The teams’ top-four golfers were used to determine team scores.
Salmen was second with a 408 and Bogalusa took third with a 537.
The girls’ tournament featured nine holes.
Pearl River’s Sophie Lee won the competition with a 59, with three competing.
Teammate Haley Miles was second with a 65 and Franklinton’s Madeleine Burris was third.
Two golfers were needed for team honors. Pearl River posted a 127 and was the only team that qualified for team honors.
