Pine defeats Independence 3 times in District 9-2A play

Pine’s Raiders were victorious over Independence by double digits in the team’s three games that took place Tuesday and Wednesday in District 9-2A play.
Tuesday’s game was a 14-3 win at home.
Luke Fonda went 3-for-3 with a double, three runs batted in and a run scored.
Logan Temples singled, tripled, drove in three runs and scored a run.
Chase Cooper tallied two singles and a pair of runs scored.
Zack Lemaire singled twice, drove in a run and scored a run.
Kendall Sheridan singled, tallied two RBIs and two runs scored.
Kaden Fersch singled, scored two runs and drove one home.
Reese Thomas tallied a hit and an RBI.
Blaine Polk and Ian Turner both singled and scored two runs.
Will Adams drove in a run.
Devan Whaley was the winning pitcher after throwing three innings of two-hit shutout ball with two strikeouts and a walk.
The teams played a doubleheader on Wednesday and Pine won the two games, 15-4 and 16-0.
In the 15-4 game, Cooper hit a home run, drove in three runs and scored two runs.
Coby Sheridan and Turner each singled twice, had three RBIs and scored two runs.
Fonda doubled and scored two runs.
Fersch singled, recorded two RBIs and scored two runs.
Lemaire singled, drove in a pair of runs and scored two runs.
Temples singled and scored a run.
Adams scored two runs and Kendall Sheridan had an RBI.
Fonda allowed two runs (none earned) on a hit with three strikeouts and a walk for the win.
Lemaire doubled, drove in two runs and scored a run in the 16-0 game.
Polk singled, drove in a trio of runs and scored a run.
Bryson Thomas singled to go with an RBI and two runs scored.
Whaley had a hit with an RBI and two runs scored.
Colby Comeaux scored three runs while Dallen Magee and Thomas both had an RBI and a run scored, Karson Voth and Triston Jones scored two runs each and Fersch scored a run.
Lemaire threw two innings of no-hit shutout ball with three strikeouts and a walk in the win.
