Raiders’ nearly come back from 9-run deficit in District 9-2A game

Pine’s Raiders nearly made a big comeback against Pope John Paul II, but came up short in a 9-8 District 9-2A setback at home Tuesday.
Pine trailed 9-0 after three innings, as Pope John Paul II scored five in the second inning and two each in the first and third innings.
Pine came back with eight in a row with three in the fourth, one more in the fifth and four in the sixth, but could not complete the comeback.
Kendall Sheridan doubled and scored two runs in a three-hit day.
Kaden Fersch recorded two hits that included a triple, three runs batted in and a run scored.
Coby Sheridan posted two hits that included a double, an RBI and a run scored.
Luke Fonda tripled, scored a run and drove one home.
Ian Turner singled and scored a run.
Will Adams drove in two runs and Devan Whaley scored one run.
