Varnado’s Wildcats were defeated by Amite, 7-5, in a game that took place at the Bogalusa Sports Complex on Avenue B on March 12.
Korterrius Mingo scored two runs.
Christian Matthews, Jaylen Peters and Kameron Kemp-Fox all tallied one.
Varnado took a 1-0 lead through two innings.
Amite tallied four runs in the fourth inning to go up 4-3, but Varnado countered with three of its own to tie the game at 4-4 through four.
Each team posted a run in the fifth and Amite went in front for good with two in the seventh for the win.
