Lewis V. Murray Memorial Golf Tournament takes place in May

The inaugural Lewis V. Murray Memorial Golf Tournament takes place on Saturday, May 11 at the Bogalusa Country Club to help benefit the Bogalusa High School football team.

The two-person scramble costs $200 per team.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the event gets under way at 8 a.m.

Lunch will be provided.

Sponsorship packages are between $100 and $500.

Trio of Bogalusa Little League events coming up

Bogalusa Little League has three events coming up in the next few weeks.

On Saturday, March 23, the group is holding a coaching clinic from noon to 2 p.m. at the Avenue U Ballpark.

Opening day has been moved from Saturday, March 30 to Saturday, April 6. Opening day begins at 9 a.m. at the Avenue U Ballpark.

On Friday, April 12, the group is holding a fundraiser. The menu is grilled chicken and a loaded potato that will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The cost is $10.

 

Pearl River Community College basketball fundraiser

Pearl River Community College is holding a fundraiser for its men’s and women’s basketball programs on Thursday, March 21, as SWA Promotions presents Live Wrestling.

The event, which takes place at the Marvin R. White Coliseum on the PRCC campus, features a Southern Heavyweight Championship.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and bell time is at 7 p.m.

Ringside tickets are on sale at Stonewall’s BBQ in Poplarville, Miss. for $12.
