Pine goes 1-2 in tournament

Pine posted a 1-2 record in the Doyle Tournament held Thursday and Saturday.
Pine captured a 14-1 six-inning victory over Springfield to open the event on Thursday.
The Raiders jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first inning and led 8-1 after an inning of play.
Logan Temples went 2-for-2 with a triple, a run batted in and a run scored.
Coby Sheridan singled twice and scored a pair of runs.
Will Adams had two singles and he drove in a run.
Kendall Sheridan tripled, scored a run and recorded an RBI.
Bryson Thomas, Luke Fonda and Dallen Magee both singled and drove in a run.
Ian Turner had a hit and a run scored.
Kaden Fersch scored a run in the victory.
Adams was the winning pitcher. He allowed on hit with two strikeouts and two walks.
Pine played two games on Saturday and was defeated by Loranger and Albany.
Both games were decided by two runs each.
The game against Loranger was an 8-6 contest.
Chase Cooper singled twice and drove home two runs.
Coby Sheridan had a hit, two runs scored and an RBI.
Temples doubled and scored a run.
Zack Lemaire singled.
Kendall Sheridan, Fersch and Fonda all scored one run for Pine.
The next game was a 3-1 loss to Albany.
Turner had both of Pine’s hits, one for a double, and he drove in the run that plated Blaine Polk.
Fonda went the distance, allowing two earned runs on eight hits with a strikeout and no walks.
