Pine’s Baham takes 4th in the long jump at Judy Baehr Relays

Pine’s Demontrea Baham finished fourth in the long jump at the 2019 St. Thomas Aquinas-Judy Baehr Relays that were held at Walker on March 8.
Baham long jumped 19 feet, 10.5 inches. Teammate Jordan Anderson was ninth in the event at 18-1. Walker’s Jaden Williams jumped 20-10.25 to win.
Pine was the only parish team in the meet.
Nikki Lee was fifth in the 400 meters after clocking a time of 56.85 seconds. Teammate Jaheim Williams was 13th with a 1 minute, 3 second time. Live Oak’s Brian Bayonne won the event in 52.59.
Larry Williams tallied a fifth-place finish in the shot put with a distance of 39-6. Trystian Bankston was 14th at 31-5.5. Lakeshore’s Zachary Bernard won at 48-3.5.
Pine’s 4×800 relay team and 4×200 relay teams were sixth and seventh, respectively in 10:42 and 1:49. Pine’s 4×800 runners were Blaine Kirkpatrick, Ethan Sinopoli, Ian Beltran and Trent Barber. The 4×200 runners were Sinopoli, Beltran, Williams and Lee. Mandeville won both events. Their 4×800 time was 8:45 and the 4×200 in 1:32.
Anderson was eight in the 200 at 24.45. Baham took 14th at 26.54. Walker’s Jalen Watson won in 23.29.
Braden Johnson was 12th in the discus and Jyrais Robinson tied St. Charles’ Jordan Brown in the discus. Johnson’s throw was 76-0. Robinson and Brown had a 54-9. Bernard was the winner with a distance of 142-0.
Baham was 16th in the 100 after running it in 12.41. Mandeville’s Zahn Diaz won in 11.30.
Kirkpatrick and Barber ran 19th and 23rd in the 800 with times of 2:32 and 2:50. Lakeshore’s Brandon Shows won in 2:01.
