Lady Demons tennis split matches this week

Franklinton’s girls went 1-1 this week in tennis while the boys fell in both of their matches.
On Wednesday, the Lady Demons defeated Pearl River, 3-2.
The teams split the singles matches and Franklinton won 2-of-3 doubles.
Franklinton’s Gabrielle Webb won in straight sets over Gretchen Bennett, 6-0, 6-1.
Yvone Tran was defeated by Sarah Davis, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles, Franklinton’s teams of Morgan Mills and Taylor Cosse along with Sarah Hoggett and Karina Alfaro won their matches.
Mills/Cosse won their match, 6-0, 6-0, over Katherine Crumby/Lindsey Moyle.
Hoggett/Alfaro defeated Moyle/Bailey Schween, 6-4 and 7-3 in a tiebreaker after tying the set at 7-7.
Mackenzie Angelo/Abby Thomas were defeated, 6-4, 6-3, by Clotteal Boudreaux/Andrea Adkins.
The boys were defeated, 4-0.
In singles, Keaton Catrett lost in three sets to Quinten Williams, 1-6, 6-2, 11-9.
Colby Creel was defeated by Omar Dejli, 6-0, 6-2.
In doubles, Chase Sheridan/Colton Sanders were defeated by Ryan Parker/Todd Scott, 6-0, 6-1.
Sawyer Sandifer/Timothy Thomas lost to Blaine Bourgeois/Evan Chighizola, 6-0, 6-1.
The next day, Franklinton’s girls and boys were topped at home against Covington.
The girls came up short, 3-2.
Franklinton won two of their three doubles’ matches.
Angelo/Thomas won their match, 6-3, 6-0, over Yunnie Lam/Eva Saladino.
Alfaro/Hoggett were also victorious in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, over Isabel Glynn/Kryatal Figueroa.
Cosse/Mills were defeated by Joy Conlin/Brayley Johnston, 7-5 (tiebreaker), 6-3.
In singles, Tran came up short to Allie Guidry, 6-3, 1-6, 10-8.
Kassady Sanders was defeated by Katerina Geno, 6-1, 6-1.
The boys lost to Covington, 4-1.
The doubles team of Jayce Jenkins/Chase Sheridan were victorious in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, over Devin Williams/Peter Lewis.
Creel/Colton Sanders were defeated by Michael Dang/Christian Brown, 6-2, 6-1.
Creel/Catrett lost to Raymond Vo/Jarreth Wheeler, 6-2, 6-1.
In singles, Catrett was defeated by Luke Tolleson, 6-0, 6-0.
Colton Sanders lost to Braydon Jakins, 6-0, 6-1.
