Pine splits games in Higgins Tournament, falls to Loranger

Pine’s Raiders went 1-1 at the L.W. Higgins Tournament that took place March 1-2.
The Raiders lost to St. Augustine to open the competition, 19-3.
Pine was limited to two hits on singles by Luke Fonda and Kendall Sheridan. Sheridan drove in a run, as did Logan Temples.
Kaden Fersch scored two runs while Will Adams tallied once.
Pine trailed 7-1 after an inning and 15-1 through three.
The next day, the Raiders were victorious over defending Class C state champion Harrisonburg, 5-2.
Kendall Sheridan doubled, drove in a run and scored a run.
Coby Sheridan singled and had an RBI.
Fonda recorded a hit, a run batted in and two runs scored.
Adams posted a hit, a run scored and an RBI.
Ian Turner drove in a run in the win.
Zack Lemaire went the distance, allowing two runs on six hits with six strikeouts and three walks.
On Monday, Pine lost to Loranger, 14-0.
Adams doubled.
Fonda, Kendall Sheridan and Temples all singled.
