Lady Demons victorious over Jewel Sumner, St. Charles

Franklinton’s Lady Demons were victorious over Jewel Sumner and St. Charles in games held Tuesday and Wednesday.
The game against Jewel Sumner was a 7-1-road victory, as Ashlyn Ard had a big day at the plate.
Ard went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and three stolen bases.
Ashlyn Welch singled twice.
Aleigha Fussell had two hits, including a double. Fussell was also the winning pitcher. She went the distance allowing no earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts, a walk and a hit batter.
Brylie Fowler singled, drove in a run and scored two runs.
Bailey Brooks and Kiersten Allen both singled and drove in a run.
Albanie Fussell and Missouri Varnado both singled.
Aaliyah Faour scored two runs and stole a base and Bailey Spears recorded an RBI in the victory.
On Wednesday, Franklinton hung on to defeat St. Charles, 5-4.
The Lady Demons scored five in the first, but St. Charles posted a run in the third and three more in the fifth.
Six players had one hit each for the Lady Demons, including Fowler, Spears, Brooks, Welch, Allen and Albanie Fussell.
Folwer, Spears and Brooks all singled and scored.
Welch doubled, scored and drove in a run.
Allen singled, had a run scored and an RBI.
Fussell drove in a pair of runs.
Varnado recorded an RBI.
Aleigha Fussell allowed one earned run on seven hits over seven innings with five strikeouts and two walks.
