Wildcats fall to Plain Dealing in bi-district round of Class 1A state playoffs

Varnado’s Wildcats lost to Plain Dealing, 80-39, in the opening round of the Class 1A state playoffs on the road Friday.
Varnado was the No. 19 seed.
No. 14 Plain Dealing advanced to the regional round to play third-seeded Jonesboro-Hodge. Jonesboro-Hodge won against No. 30 Oberlin, 79-22.
