Pine posts 1-1 record in Pearl River Tournament last weekend

Pine’s Raiders went 1-1 in the Pearl River Tournament that took place Friday and Saturday.
It was Pine’s first two games of the 2019 season.
Pine won the opener 9-4 over Doyle.
Kaden Fersch recorded two singles, three stolen bases and he scored four runs.
Kendall Sheridan posted two hits and four runs batted in.
Blaine Polk had two hits and two runs scored.
Luke Fonda singled, drove in a run and scored three runs.
Coby Sheridan doubled and had three RBIs.
Logan Temples doubled and drove in a run.
Ian Turner singled for Pine in the victory.
Winning pitcher Devan Whaley allowed three earned runs over 6-1/3 innings on eight hits with eight strikeouts and two walks.
Will Adams finished things up with 2/3 of perfect innings.
Pine lost to Pearl River, 6-2, the following day.
Coby Sheridan went 3-for-3.
Fonda and Kendall Sheridan singled and drove in a run each.
Cory Barber singled and scored a run.
Fersch, Zack Lemaire and Ian Turner all singled.
Polk scored a run.
On Monday, Pine was victorious over Albany, 14-8, on the road.
Kendall Sheridan tallied three hits, two RBIs and three runs scored. Sheridan doubled twice. That represented two of Pine’s five doubles.
Temples went 3-for-4 with two runs batted in a pair of runs scored.
Fonda and Kendall Sheridan each doubled, drove in a run and scored twice.
Lemaire singled, drove in a run and scored twice.
Turner doubled, recorded two RBIs and scored a run.
Polk scored a run and drove in one.
Fersch scored a run for the Raiders.
