Franklinton defeated in tournament

Franklinton’s Demons went 0-4 in the Brother Martin Tournament that took place Thursday-Saturday.
Thursday’s game was a 10-2 loss to Jesuit.
Nate Bracey recorded two singles and a run scored.
Jalen Burkhalter singled twice and drove in a pair of runs.
Wyatt Verret singled and scored.
Jordan McKenzie allowed five unearned runs over two innings with three strikeouts and a walk.
The Demons committed four errors.
Franklinton lost to St. Paul’s School, 7-0 the next day.
The Demons were limited to two hits, one each by Jared Jenkins and Verret.
Franklinton played twice on Saturday and lost to Archbishop Rummel and Brother Martin.
The game against Archbishop Rummel was 9-4.
Jenkins posted two hits and an RBI.
McKenzie doubled, drove in a run and scored a run.
Verret singled and scored a run.
Landon Keller singled and tallied an RBI.
Richard Berry singled.
Burkhalter scored a run, drove in a run and coaxed three walks.
Noah Breland scored a run for the Demons.
Archbishop Rummel scored five in the first inning and three more in the second to go up 8-0.
Franklinton scored single runs in the third and sixth and two in the fourth.
The final game was a 12-9 loss to Brother Martin.
Jenkins tripled, drove in two runs and scored a run as part of a three-hit game.
Burkhalter tripled, scored a run and drive in one in a 2-for-3 contest.
Keller posted a single, an RBI and two runs scored.
Verret singled, had two RBIs and a run scored.
McKenzie had a pair of RBIs and a run scored.
Trent Varnado, Berry and Bracey all scored a run.
