Trio of former Demons off to solid starts this year

Three former Franklinton baseball players are off to solid starts to open the 2019 season.
Austin Bradford, Jamarian Crain and C.J. Estave have had positive starts to this season.
Bradford, who is a University of Louisiana at Lafayette junior, is a 2015 Franklinton graduate.
His season began last weekend and he recorded a save after throwing 2/3 innings of scoreless ball in Sunday’s 8-6 victory over the University of Texas.
Going into Friday’s game, Bradford had yet to allow a run in 1-2/3 innings in three games.
Crain graduated from Franklinton in 2017 and is a sophomore at Coastal Alabama Community College — North.
Crain has played in three games this season and has at least one hit in each. He entered Friday’s game hitting .400 with a .455 on-base percentage and .700 slugging percentage. Crain also began Friday with two stolen bases in as many attempts.
Crain has a homer and two runs batted in. Both of those stats came last Saturday against Shelton State Community College in a 5-4 loss.
Estave is a 2016 Franklinton graduate and is a junior at Delta State University.
Estave has played in seven games this season and began Friday with a .261 batting average with a homer and two RBIs.
Estave’s home run was last Saturday against Montevallo in an 11-1 win.
