Lady Buccaneers finish 4th in Class AAA South State Tournament

Bowling Green School’s Lady Buccaneers took fourth place in last week’s Class AAA South State Tournament that was held at Columbia Academy.
The Lady Bucs won their opener over Park Place Christian Academy, 49-38, as Callie Seal had a solid night.
Seal tallied 23 points that included four 3-pointers and she was 7-for-9 from the free-throw line. Seal had three rebounds, an assist, a steal and she blocked a shot.
KaKa Seal posted nine points, including a 3-pointer, along with two rebounds, an assist and three steals.
Hope Crowe tallied five points that include a 3-pointer, five rebounds, an assist and two steals.
Bailey Duvall had four points, four boards, two assists, a pair of steals and she blocked a shot.
Allie McCain recorded four points, three rebounds, an assist, five steals and she blocked a shot.
Bridget Devall posted four points, three rebounds, an assist, two steals and she blocked a shot.
On Thursday, Bowling Green was victorious over Adams County Christian School, 55-36.
Callie Seal led Bowling Green in points once again, this time going for 15 to go with three rebounds, a trio of steals and she blocked a shot. She made two 3-pointers.
Duvall posted 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and she made six steals.
Kyley Seals tallied six points, a rebound, an assist and a steal.
McCain totaled six points, two assists and three steals.
Hope Harrison had four points and five boards.
Devall put up four points, three rebounds and a steal.
Hope Crowe scored three points, grabbed a rebound, dished out an assist and blocked a shot. She made a 3-pointer.
KaKa Seal had two points, a rebound, an assist and she made five steals.
Allie Schilling posted a point, two rebounds and she made four steals.
Lacie Penton had a rebound for Bowling Green.
The Lady Buccaneers lost its next game to Class AAA South State runner-up Central Hinds Academy, 56-48.
Callie Seal was Bowling Green’s leading scorer with 16 points. She made a pair of 3-pointer, pulled down six rebounds and made two steals.
KaKa Seal posted nine points, four boards and she made four steals. She made a pair of 3-pointers.
McCain had eight points, four rebounds and a steal.
Seals tallied six points, four boards and she made five steals.
Crowe totaled six points, a rebound, an assist and she blocked a shot. Crowe made two 3-pointers.
Devall had two points, and a steal.
Duvall posted one point, two rebounds, three assists and a steal.
The Lady Buccaneers were defeated by Hillcrest Christian School, 54-49, in the third-place game and were fourth for the tournament.
Callie Seal scored 16 points for the second-straight game to top Bowling Green. Seal had three rebounds, two assists and she made four steals.
Duvall scored 10 points to go with two rebounds, an assist and three steals.
KaKa Seal had five points, three boards, two assists and a steal.
Crowe posted five points, including a 3-pointer, along with two boards and a steal.
McCain recorded five points that included a 3-pointer, and a rebound.
Seals put up four points, four boards, two assists and a steal.
Devall recorded four points and four rebounds.
Callie Seal was an all-tournament team player.
Columbia Academy won the tournament with a 47-18 championship game win over Central Hinds Academy.
The top four teams advance to the Class AAA Tournament that started yesterday at Leake Academy.
Bowling Green opened play yesterday against Leake Academy.
The top three teams from the Class AAA Tournament play in the overall tournament.
