Eagles go 1-1 at South State Tourney

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Eagles tallied a 1-1 at last week’s Class AA South State Tournament that took place at Brookhaven Academy.
The Eagles were victorious over Prairie View Academy, 52-20, on Feb. 12.
Dalton Crain was solid. He led Ben’s Ford in points with 24. He also grabbed two rebounds, dished out an assist, made three steals and blocked a shot.
Tyler Winstead nearly had a double-double with 12 points and nine boards to go with three assists and he blocked three shots.
A.J. Exkano posted five points, five rebounds, an assist and he made five steals.
Isaac Wascom recorded four points, a rebound, two assists, a pair of steals and he blocked a shot.
John Robert Holston tallied three points.
Jarrett W silliams had two points and three boards.
Alston Moore totaled two points, four boards, an assist and a blocked shot.
Tucker Keating tallied five rebounds, an assist and three steals while Chase Penton had five boards and four steals, John Eric Self grabbed two rebounds and Justin Moore dished out an assist.
Two days later, Ben’s Ford lost to eventual South State Tournament Champion Brookhaven Academy, 71-38, to conclude the 2018-19 season.
Winstead scored 14 points to lead the Eagles. He also grabbed five rebounds, made a steal and he blocked five shots.
Justin Moore tallied nine points, three rebounds and an assist.
Penton recorded six points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Tucker Keating posted five points, two rebounds, two assists, a steal and he blocked a shot.
Alston Moore put up four points, a rebound, an assist and two steals.
Eskano had a board, an assist and a steal while Holston grabbed two rebounds and Crain recorded a board.
