Bowling Green takes 4th in South State

Bowling Green’s Buccaneers took fourth place at last week’s Class AAA South State Tournament last week at Columbia Academy.
The Buccaneers opened the event by topping Park Place Christian Academy, 39-38, on Thursday.
The next game was a 52-38 setback to tournament runner-up Riverfield Academy, 52-38 on Friday.
Bowling Green played in the third-place game, but came up short to St. Aloysius, 56-53, on Saturday for the fourth-place tally.
Braden Edwards was named to the all-tournament team.
Hillcrest Christian School won the tournament with a 62-42 victory over Riverfield Academy.
The top four teams advance to the Class AAA Tournament that began yesterday at Leake Academy.
Bowling Green began play yesterday and faced Heritage Christian Academy.
The top three teams from the Class AAA Tournament play in the overall tournament.
