Mt. Hermon School’s Lady Jackets were defeated by Hathaway, 81-33, in the bi-district round of the Class B state playoffs on the road Thursday.
Kalei Hughes led the 23rd-seeded Lady Jackets with 21 points. She made three 3-pointers.
Destiny Lewis posted four points while Macey Applegate had three, Sydnei Tullos posted two and Bailey Fortenberry added one.
Mt. Hermon had just one senior in Hughes.
Lady Jackets coach Mary McGinnis, who completed her first season at Mt. Hermon, said it has been a pleasure to coach Hughes.
“She will be missed next year but I know she will be successful in all of her endeavors after high school,” McGinnis said.
No. 10 Hathaway advanced to the regional against seventh-seeded Choudrant. Hathaway won that contest, 59-47, on Monday.
