Mt. Hermon tallies 1-2 record in District 7-B Tournament

Mt. Hermon’s Yellow Jackets finished 1-2 in the District 7-B Tournament that was held at Holden last week.
The Yellow Jackets opened with a 69-27 over Maurepas on Tuesday, Feb. 5.
Michquel Spears topped the Yellow Jackets with 13 points. He made three 3-pointers.
All 10 of Mt. Hermon’s players tallied points.
Keondre Bunch posted 12 points.
Tevin Williams and Rashad Oatis recorded eight each while Travell Brumfied had seven, Jeremy Bickham posted six, Tristan Brumfield put up five, Brodie Haley totaled four and LaQuarry Alexander and Nate Womack added three each.
The next game was a 68-39 loss against Crescent City on Feb. 7.
The following day, Mt. Hermon lost to Holden, 51-37, in the third-place game.
Bunch scored 10 points to lead the Yellow Jackets. He made a pair of 3-pointers.
Oatis had nine points while Travell Brumfield posted six, Womack recorded three, Tristan Brumfield, Williams, Haley and Bickham all tallied two and Spears added one.
