Varnado wins District 8-1A games held Friday, Monday

Varnado’s Wildcats posted a 2-0 record in District 8-1A contests held Friday and Monday.
The Wildcats were victorious over Houma Christian School, 68-42, on the road Friday.
Kim McGowan led the Wildcats with 17 points, which included five 3-pointers.
Brandon Lee recorded 14 points.
Jaheim Hooks and Adrian Bickham tallied 11 points each.
Kevis Brooks had five while Javon Bickham and Trevon Haynes posted four each and Elizah Miller added two in the victory. Brooks made a 3-pointer.
On Monday, Varnado defeated West St. John, 64-53, in the final regular season home game.
Hooks led the way with 17 points. He made a pair of 3-pointers.
Lee tallied 15.
Jhaquawn McConnell and McGowan posted nine each while Adrian Bickham recorded eight, Javon Bickham had four and Haynes added two. McConnell made three 3-pointers while McGowan hit two.
