Varnado’s Wildcats went 1-1 in games that were held on Monday and Thursday.
Varnado suffered a 106-51 loss to KIPP Booker T. Washington in a District 8-1A contest at home Monday.
Jaheim Hooks led Varnado with 13 points. He made a 3-pointer.
Kevis Brooks and Adrian Bickham posted nine points each while Brandon Lee tallied six, Jhaquawn McConnell recorded five, Javon Bickham and Kim McGowan had three each and Trevon Haynes added two. Brooks, McConnell and McGowan all made one 3-pointer.
The Wildcats rebounded from the loss with a 79-73 victory over Kentwood in non-district action at home Thursday.
Adrian Bickham led the way with 21 points for the Wildcats. He was one of four players to tally in double figures.
Lee posted 13 points. McGowan had 12 points and he made two 3-pointers.
Hooks tallied 10 points and was good on a 3-pointer.
Javon Bickham posted six points while McConnell had five and Brooks, Elizah Miller and Haynes all recorded four. McConnell made a 3-pointer for Varnado.
