FHS’s Jordan is Lady Demons’ top finisher in meet

SLIDELL — Five Franklinton Lady Demons competed in the Pope John Paul II Invitational Meet that took place on Saturday at PJP.
Camryn Jordan was the fifth-place finisher in the 165-pound weight class after posting a 225 squat, 115 bench and a 225 deadlift for a 565 total. Covington’s Joscelyn Collins captured the weight class with a 786 total.
Grace Mitchell was sixth in the 114s with a 320 total. Mitchell squatted 110, benched 55 and deadlifted 155. Covington’s Cara Scott won with a 720.
Ava Rishto was sixth in the 123s with a 205 after a 60 bench and 145 deadlift. Covington’s Madison Catalanotto won at 760.
Sydney Ignacek was eighth in the 132s with a 300 with a 135 squat and 165 deadlift. Covington’s Emily Schneider was the winner with a 635.
Erin Mitchell posted a sixth-place finish with a 290 total in the super heavy weight. She benched 70 and deadlifted 220. Covington’s Harmoni Brown was the winner with a 985.
Slidell teammates Jelynn Cheatham and Karmyn King were the meet’s outstanding lifters. Cheatham won the light platform (97-148 pound weight classes) and King captured the heavy platform (165-super heavy weight).
