Lady Demons capture league opener, defeated by Amite

Franklinton’s Lady Demons went 1-1 in games held Tuesday and Wednesday.
Franklinton was victorious in its District 8-4A opener, 61-15, over Lakeshore on the road Tuesday.
Danaria Magee led the Lady Demons with 20 points.
Kaniya Dillon posted 16 points.
Miriam Tate had 12 points.
Jalyn Bickham tallied six points while Addison Carter recorded five points and Tovah Magee added two in the victory.
The next day, Franklinton lost to Amite, 56-46, in non-district competition on the road.
Carter and Magee topped the Lady Demons with 12 points each.
Bickham posted 10 points.
Dillon and Tate recorded six points each.
