Bogalusa competes at indoor meet

Bogalusa’s Clydeterrious Thompson recorded a third-place finish in the long jump at the LSU HS Classic Indoor Meet that took place Saturday, Jan. 5 at LSU.
Thompson long jumped 20 feet, 7.5 inches to reach the podium, as 33 athletes competed. Scotlandville’s Reginald King won the event at 20-11.
Thompson competed in three events.
The other two competitions were running events.
Thompson was eighth of 84 participants in the 400 meters after running it in 52.23 seconds. Westgate’s Kayshon Boutte won in 50.49.
Thompson was also 26th of 81 runners in the prelims of the 60. He ran a 7.39. The top eight reached the finals. West Feliciana’s Kam Jackson, who won the prelims with a 6.98, won the finals in 6.94.
Dustin Wager was 46th in the 1,600 after running it in 5 minutes, 34 seconds. Catholic High’s Collin Hedges won in 4:36. The event featured 62 participants.
Bogalusa’s 4×800 relay team that featured Wager, Haikem Thompson, Dre’Toris Mark and Donald Lewis, was 11th with a time of 9:43. Catholic won the event in 8:26, as 11 teams competed.
